US President Joe Biden has tested negative for COVID-19, clearing the way for his upcoming travel plans to India and Vietnam for the G20 Summit. The annual summit, hosted by India, is set to take place in New Delhi on September 9 and 10. Biden, 80, is scheduled to depart for India on Thursday, where he will participate in various meetings and sessions during the summit. On Friday, he will have a bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The confirmation of Biden's negative test results came from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during her daily news conference on Wednesday. Biden underwent testing for the virus on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. These daily tests have become standard practice following First Lady Jill Biden's positive COVID-19 test on Monday.
