The Kremlin has declared that it will carefully watch the upcoming talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul, which marks the 500th day since Moscow began its offensive in Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted the importance of the dialogue and voiced his appreciation for Turkish President Erdogan’s mediation efforts. Peskov also did not exclude the possibility of talks between President Vladimir Putin and Erdogan in the future.
