Meghan Markle Set to Make a Social Media Comeback: Secures @meghan Handle on Instagram

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle is reportedly gearing up to make a comeback on social media. According to Page Six, Markle has secured the handle @meghan on Instagram, which already has a following of 32,600 users. Despite having the account, Markle has not yet posted anything and the account remains unverified without a blue tick.

It is believed that Markle initially planned to launch the account just before starting her Archetypes podcast in 2022. Markle, who was a prolific social media user before joining the royal family, had previously revealed in an interview that she was considering returning to social media.

During her acting career, Markle regularly used Instagram and maintained a lifestyle blog called 'The Tig'. However, she gave up her social media presence and blog after marrying Prince Harry in 2018. Markle's return to social media comes after she and Prince Harry left the royal family in 2020 and relocated to the United States.

The couple had previously launched their own Instagram account, @sussexroyal, which gained one million followers in just six hours. However, they shut down the account after their departure from the royal family. In recent news, Markle has been faced with a series of allegations.

A former friend claimed that Markle deceived Prince Harry into believing allegations she made against the Beckhams, leading to a feud. It was reported that David Beckham was furious with Markle for suggesting that his wife, Victoria Beckham, leaked stories to the press. The former friends' relationship soured after the alleged incident, with the Beckhams distancing themselves from Markle.

A royal family butler also criticized Markle for allegedly using people and then discarding them when she no longer needed them. Despite the controversies surrounding her, Markle appears determined to make a return to social media and share her voice with the online world once again.
