Israeli Ambassador Urges Indians to Light Diya of Hope for Hostages: Join the Movement and Support the Fight Against Hamas

Israeli Ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, has called on Indians to show their support for the Israeli hostages being held by Hamas by lighting a "diya of hope" ahead of the Diwali festival. In a video posted on social media platform X, Gilon referenced the celebration of Lord Ram's return on Diwali and encouraged individuals to light a diya with the hope of their loved ones returning. Gilon emphasized the need to eliminate Hamas and stated that doing so would decrease the chances of a ripple effect.

He highlighted the use of civilians as human shields by Hamas and the international pressure on the group. Gilon also emphasized the scale of the recent assault by Hamas, including the penetration of Israeli communities, the deaths of 1,400 people, and the abduction and injury of many more. He urged individuals to use the hashtag #DiyaOfHope to share their photos and show their support.
