Ex-Husband of Pakistan's Former Prime Minister's Wife Files Shocking Case Accusing Couple of Fornication and Fraudulent Marriage
The ex-husband of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, has accused the couple of fornication and fraudulent marriage, leading to a court case and widespread criticism.
In a shocking turn of events, the ex-husband of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, has filed a case against them, accusing the couple of fornication and fraudulent marriage. Khawar Farid Maneka submitted a complaint against Khan and Bibi under Sections 34, 496, and 496-B of the Pakistan Penal Code. During the court hearing, Maneka also presented a statement under section 200 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, where he reiterated his claim that Khan ruined his married life. The court issued notices to three witnesses mentioned in the case, including Awn Chaudhry, Mufti Muhammad Saeed, and Maneka's house employee Latif, directing them to appear before the court on November 28.
Maneka, who was recently granted bail in a graft case, accused Khan of causing problems in his marriage before eventually marrying Bushra Bibi. The PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) party leaders strongly criticized the allegations, questioning the moral necessity of Maneka's statements. However, their PML-N adversaries seized the opportunity to sling mud at the former Prime Minister. In the complaint, Maneka urged the court to summon and punish Khan and Bibi strictly in accordance with the law in the interest of justice. He revealed that Khan frequently visited his house for hours in his absence, under the pretext of spiritual healing, which he deemed undesirable and unethical.
Maneka further alleged that Bibi received late-night calls from Khan, adding that she had separate contact numbers and mobile phones for communication. Maneka stated that he divorced Bushra on November 14, 2017, and accused respondents no.1 (Imran Khan) and 2 (Bushra Bibi) of committing the heinous offense of fornication. He claimed that the drama of their marriage was staged on January 1, 2018. This case comes shortly after another individual who filed a similar case withdrew his plea, citing technical reasons. This development has sparked widespread debate and criticism in Pakistan's political landscape. The court will now carefully evaluate the evidence and witness testimonies to determine the veracity of the accusations against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
