Despite Tensions, Pakistan Applauds India's Moon Landing as a Historic Triumph

Pakistan's media has given significant coverage to India's historic moon landing, showcasing the positive response from both politicians and the public. Despite strained bilateral ties between the two countries, Pakistani newspapers and websites prominently featured headlines such as "India becomes first nation to land near Moon's south pole." This successful landing by India's Chandrayaan-3 comes after the recent failure of Russia's Luna-25 mission.

Former Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, praised the achievement and called it a great moment for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He had previously urged the Pakistani media to livestream the moon landing and expressed his excitement for the Indian science community and space scientists. The newspapers highlighted that this successful landing is India's redemption from the disappointment of the Chandrayaan-2 crash in 2019.

Pakistanis, including locals and residents of Islamabad and Karachi, expressed admiration for India's progress in science and technology, acknowledging that India is marching ahead while Pakistan faces challenges in areas like food, education, inflation, and internal conflicts.
