Canadian Woman Sentenced to 22 Years for Attempting to Poison Former President Trump with Ricin-Laced Letters
Canadian woman, Pascale Ferrier, is sentenced to almost 22 years in prison for mailing ricin-laced letters to Donald Trump and law enforcement officials. She had no criminal record but planned to concoct more deadly poisons.
In a landmark case, a Canadian woman named Pascale Ferrier has been sentenced to nearly 22 years in prison for mailing letters containing the poisonous substance ricin to then-President Donald Trump at the White House. The letters, which also targeted law enforcement officials in Texas, were intercepted before reaching their intended recipients.
Ferrier pleaded guilty to violating biological weapons prohibitions and has been described as an "inordinately intelligent French immigrant" with no prior criminal record. However, prosecutors revealed that she had made the ricin at home in Quebec and had expressed her intentions to find better recipes for other poisons.
