Thirteen terrorists, three army men and four civilians killed in Kashmir gunfight
Today, Kashmir witnessed several clashes between the security forces and the militants. Several people got injured.
Thirteen terrorists including top commanders were killed today in separate encounters in South Kashmir. In the encounter, three army men and four civilian were also killed. More than hundred civilians got injured in these clashes.
The seven terrorists killed in Dragad, Sugan in Shopian have been identified as
1. Yawar Ahmad yatoo s/o majeed yatooR/o safnagri
2.Nazam dar s/o Nazir dar
3.Adil thokers/o Ab ganie
4.Abaid MallahaS/o Mohd shafi mollaha.
5. Zubir turays/o bashir turi
6. Rayiees thoker s/Alimohd
7. Ishfaq malik s/o Gh nahi malik
The rest of the six terrorists have not been identified yet. Two civilians killed in the encounter have been identified as Zubair Ahmed & Mohamad Ashraf. During these operations one militant was apprehended alive in over night gunfight in the Anantnag district. On Sunday, intensive clashes & protests were witnessed. Several protestors got bullet and pellet injuries. An official at district hospital Shopian confirmed that fifty injured people were brought to the hospital.
According to a local news agency, on Saturday evening forces laid the siege in the Dargad & Kachdoora villages of Shopian District. Pursuing leads about presence of militants, Shopian Police and SFs started a search operation in the area. While the forces were searching the area, the hiding terrorists fired upon the search parties ensuing encounter at both sites.
In the meanwhile, authorities also snapped internet in the south Kashmir and in the North, internet speed was reduced to a 2G. Authorities have also decided to close all education institutions on 2nd April.
The separatist camp also announced valley wide shutdown & protest on 2nd April.
