When one goes to watch a movie with high recommendations but least expectations, the outcomes are not futile.

Stree has set out a new genre - "horror comedy" in the Indian film industry. It would need some serious competition to pull this one down. To talk of some clear wins - simple screenplay, relatable plot, awesome star cast actually great actors, super direction and good editing.

Raj Kumar Rao again brings his enviable acting skills to the movie. Every single dialogue in this one will crack you a bit. Remember him from Ragini MMS I fame which was a serious horror flick to this one where he is ridiculously funny yet so much in character. His friends are cute and add so much realness to this otherwise ordinary movie. Special mentions for Pankaj Tripathi (Fukrey and Bareilly ki barfi fame).. one my personal favourites from the recent time "teri didi kahan le gayi hai usse" hahaha!

The film's first half can get a bit draggy at times but only to realise what's coming next is totally worth the wait.

There is ample horror in the movie so yeah the chills and thrills are important ingredients in this one though the comic element doesn't go off from scene right till the end. Kudos!

All us women need to have a Stree in us in the truest sense because then our society then will probably treat the fairer sex with love and respect. It's shameful to even think that women have to turn into witches to get what they deserve. To sum up - worth a watch!
