The people of Swat want Buddhists to come and be able to pray in Swat said Malala

Malala Yousafzai, the female education activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner visited her country, Pakistan after 5 years since she was shot by the terrorists in 2012. She was attacked in her school bus at the age of 15 for advocating female education in her hometown of SWAT Valley.

She now lives in the UK.

In 2011, Rohit Gandhi the editor in chief of DNL met Malala Yousafzai while he was shooting a documentary in Swat and Waziristan. Here is a short clip of the interview with Yousafzai where she talks about minorities and education in SWAT Valley. In this interview, she had also talked about the situation improving since 2009. But after that in 2012 she was shot at close range and suffered an injury to her head. She continues to fight for the rights of girls in Pakistan and globally.
